Most young players love football but have no idea how to train on their own. They kick a ball against the fence for 20 minutes, get bored, and stop. Their club trains twice a week, and the players who improve fastest are the ones doing quality work in between.

This program gives players exactly that: three short, structured sessions a week, built around the one training partner every player already has: a wall. Step by step, it also teaches them why each session works, so by week 10 they can build their own training and keep improving long after the program ends.

What you get

Everything they need to train well at home.

All they need is a ball, a solid wall, a few cones (shoes work) and a flat space.

  • A 10-week plan that unlocks week by week, so they always know exactly what to do next.
  • A step-by-step path to training independently: they follow the plan first, then make their own choices, then design their own sessions and plan their next 4 weeks.
  • Three sessions a week (20–40 minutes) that fit around club training and school.
  • 37 filmed drills, each shown at three difficulty levels, so beginners and experienced players both find the right challenge.
  • Wall passing, wall juggling and first-touch work at the core, plus speed, agility and bodyweight strength.
  • A position module for midfielders, defenders or attackers.
  • 10 short weekly lessons on eating well for training, sleep, recovery, and handling mistakes and nerves.
  • A week 1 and week 10 skills test, so you can both see the progress in real numbers.
  • A keep-forever playbook with the session template and drill list, so they can keep training on their own after the program.

How the 10 weeks work

Follow, then choose, then design.

Phase 1 · Weeks 1–3

Foundation

Clean touch with both feet, wall passing basics, good movement habits

Phase 2 · Weeks 4–7

Build

Passing range, volleys, scanning, speed and agility, with a lighter recovery week built in, and choosing their own drill levels

Phase 3 · Weeks 8–10

Perform

Game-like decisions, weaker foot, match-day routines, designing their own sessions, and the final skills retest

Each week has one core wall session, one speed session and one strength session. A short weekly lesson explains the why behind it.

Jude Christie in training

About Jude

The training I wish I’d had at 14.

I’m Jude, a semi-professional midfielder with Wollongong Wolves in NPL 1. I built this program around the training I wish I’d had at 14: simple, structured, and possible to do at home with no coach and no fancy equipment.

A lot of my own progress came from hours against a wall. This program turns that into a plan, with the speed, strength and recovery work that keeps young players improving and staying healthy.

When I started training on my own at 15, I could barely juggle a ball against a wall, struggled to dribble around cones, and never built game-realistic scenarios into my sessions. Over the past four to five years, I’ve learned how to train properly, how to carry my training into games, and how to do the right things off the field.

Safety and how I work with young players

Player safety comes first.

Here’s exactly how this program handles it.

  • Working With Children Check: I hold a NSW WWCC, number WWC3362125E.
  • Parents stay in control: anyone under 18 has the program bought for them by a parent or guardian, who chooses which email the login goes to.
  • No private messaging with players: I don't run 1:1 chats or calls with players. Questions go to judetraining3@gmail.com, and for players under 18, parents are always included.
  • Age-appropriate training: strength work is bodyweight only, heading is kept to a few light, controlled reps, and there's a built-in recovery week.
  • Pain means stop: players are taught that knee or heel pain, common during growth spurts, is a signal to stop and tell a parent, not to push through.
  • Food-first nutrition: the lessons teach eating enough to train and grow. No calorie counting, no diets, no supplements.

This program is general training and nutrition education, not medical, physiotherapy or dietary advice. If the player has an injury or medical condition, please check with your doctor before starting.

FAQ

Questions players and parents ask.

Will this clash with club training?

No. It's designed around 2 club sessions and a weekend game, with light sessions before matches and recovery after. If you train more than that, drop one session a week.

Is it too hard for younger players?

Every drill has an easier and a harder version, and a week 1 test shows where to start. A younger player and an older, more experienced one can do the same week at different levels.

Can I buy it for myself?

Yes, if you're 18 or over. Under 18? A parent or guardian buys it for you. At checkout they can use their own email or yours for the login.

Does a parent need to supervise?

No one needs to coach, but someone will need to time a couple of tests in weeks 1 and 10. Some scanning drills work best with someone calling out colours or numbers.

What equipment do we need?

A ball, a solid brick or concrete wall away from windows, a few cones (shoes or bottles work) and a flat space.

Is the nutrition advice safe for teenagers?

Yes. It's food-first and focused on eating enough to train and grow. There are no calorie targets, diets or supplements.

What if I'm a goalkeeper?

There's no goalkeeper-specific module, so it isn't the best fit for keepers.

How do we access it?

After purchase, you'll get a login by email. Each week unlocks automatically, and access lasts 14 weeks, giving a 4-week buffer for illness, injury or holidays.

What happens after 10 weeks?

That's the point of the program: by the end, players will have designed their own sessions and planned their next 4 weeks. They keep a downloadable playbook with the session template and drill list, so they can carry on training on their own.

Who do I contact with questions?

Email judetraining3@gmail.com. For players under 18, parents are always the point of contact.
